Vocalist Janice Harrington pays tribute to the legendary Dinah Washington aided by bassist Keter Betts and drummer Jimmy Cobb, who were both in Washington's backing band in the 1950s. On this 1988 recording she is also joined on one track by Nat Adderley on cornet and tenor saxophonist Billy Mitchell.

In her 40-year career Harrington has worked with the likes of Billy Daniels, Lloyd Bridges, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Lionel Hampton and she has appeared with Nat Adderley, Papa Bue's Royal Viking Jazzband, the Humphrey Lyttleton Band and the Dutch Swing College Band.
